Daimler open African regional hubs

Daimler SAABN - Daimler have opened two new regional centres in Nairobi and Pretoria which will be responsible for business operations in 50 markets across Africa.

Daimler Commercial Vehicles Africa (DCV Africa) for east, central and west Africa in Nairobi and the Regional Centre Southern Africa (RCSA) in Pretoria, will manage the sales and service for commercial vehicles for all Daimler brands across the fifty African markets.

Wolfgang Bernhard, Daimler AG board member responsible for Daimler trucks & buses, said: “The opening of two additional regional centres in Africa reflects our consistent efforts for getting closer to our commercial vehicle customers in important growth markets.

“Through stronger local presence we will be tapping the potential of these emerging countries even better.”

Bernhard added: “Instead of leaving the African continent to our competitors we will offer tailor made products for the African markets.”

Daimler already has a regional centre for commercial activities for the Middle East & North Africa (DCV MENA) based in Dubai.
