ABN – Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos is set to receive a US$2 billion makeover to make it into a tourist attraction.
The project will be managed and paid for by South Africa based consulting firm Charles Emmanuel Emmanuel David (CEED).
CEED CEO Dr Emmanuel Imevbore said his firm had been asked to provide the funding and project management services by fellow private firm BHS International.
CEED has agreed to raise $2 billion to fund the project and use a workforce that is 75% South African.
Imevbore added: “The redevelopment of the Tafawa Balewa Square will involve the establishment of a modern mall, five-storey building, multi-storey car park and four-star hotel.
“It will also have a convention and event centre, while the car park will be expanded.”
